wireless

Today wireless communication provides even greater flexibility than in the past. Selecting wireless technology is about making the best business decisions to suit your requirements.

Perhaps a new cable is the best solution to your wireless needs, or perhaps it’s an IP link through carriers and your DSL connection. It could even be a high speed wireless link or Wireless LAN (local area network) that you’re after.

Whatever your requirements, Total Connect has experience implementing all types of wireless technology to obtain the best possible outcome with the highest reliability and lowest total cost of ownership.

Contact us about your wireless needs and read the case studies below to see how we’ve helped major local businesses make the most of wireless.

A major Western Australian architectural firm, who was expanding to a nearby remote office, approached Total Connect for advice in selecting the most appropriate and cost-effective wireless technology for its new premises.

Following a thorough review process to identify the client’s needs, we installed a Laser link with 1 Gigabit speed and throughput at layer 1 for voice and data traffic. This link, fully installed, was paid back by the firm in less than four months (in comparison to a link from a carrier at 10 per cent of the speed). Transmitting all data and voice signals across the one wireless link also meant a second server and PABX at the remote site were not required to be purchased.

Total Connect also assisted a major international mining company by implementing a wireless LAN across 11 floors of the company’s Perth office. A complete design process was undertaken to ensure voice and data traffic was available anywhere within the tenancy. Of course, security, reliability and management were all major considerations and were covered in detail in the implementation process.

Finally, a mine in Western Australia’s North West engaged Total Connect to design and implement a complete distributed voice and data network across hundreds of kilometres of their sites. An IP telephone system and data network were successfully implemented resulting in increased communication among mine workers.
